# Account Deletion

> How to delete your GodFocus account and what data is removed.

# Account Deletion

If you decide to leave GodFocus, you can delete your account. We are sad to see you go, but we respect your choice and make it straightforward.

## How to Delete Your Account

  <Step title="Go to your Profile">
    Open GodFocus and navigate to your **Profile** page.

  <Step title="Find the delete option">
    Look for the **Delete Account** option in your account settings or at the bottom of your profile page.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Confirm deletion">
    You will be asked to confirm that you want to delete your account. This is a permanent action.

  <Step title="Account deleted">
    Your account and all associated data will be permanently removed.
  </Step>

<Warning>
  Account deletion is **permanent and cannot be undone**. Once your account is deleted, there is no way to recover your data.
</Warning>

## What Gets Deleted

When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:

* Your profile and display name
* Journal entries
* Prayer list (active, answered, and archived prayers)
* Bible reading progress
* Session history and streak data
* Badge records
* Notification preferences
* Any linked wallet information

## What Is Not Affected

* **On-chain badges** — If you minted badges as cNFTs to a Solana wallet, those remain in your wallet permanently. They are yours and live on the blockchain independently of your GodFocus account.
* **Stripe payment records** — Payment history is retained by Stripe for legal and tax purposes, but your GodFocus account data is removed.

## Before You Delete

Consider these alternatives:

* **Take a break** — You can simply stop using the app and come back anytime. Your data will be here waiting for you.
