# Daily Reminders & Push Notifications

Consistency matters more than perfection. Daily reminders help you build a lasting habit of spending time with God.

## Setting Up Push Notifications

  <Step title="Open Settings">
    Tap the menu icon and go to **Settings**, or visit your **Profile** and tap the settings shortcut.

  <Step title="Enable daily reminders">
    Toggle the **Daily Reminders** switch to on.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Allow notifications">
    Your browser or device will ask you to allow notifications. Tap **Allow** when prompted. This step is required for reminders to work.

  <Step title="Choose your time">
    Pick a time from the dropdown. Times are available in 15-minute increments (for example, 6:00 AM, 6:15 AM, 6:30 AM). Choose a time that works for your daily rhythm.

  <Step title="Save">
    Your preference saves automatically. You will start receiving reminders the next day.

## Changing Your Reminder Time

Go back to **Settings** at any time and select a new time from the dropdown. The change takes effect immediately.

## What Notifications Look Like

You will receive a gentle push notification at your chosen time. Tapping it opens GodFocus so you can jump straight into a session.

On the **Android app**, notifications work like any other app notification and appear in your notification shade.

On the **web app**, notifications are delivered through your browser's push notification system.

  On web browsers, notifications require browser permission. If you accidentally denied permission, you will need to re-enable it in your browser settings for app.godfocus.io. See our [troubleshooting guide](/support/troubleshooting) if you need help.

## In-App Announcements

GodFocus may also send you in-app announcements about new features, updates, or seasonal content. These appear inside the app and do not require push notification permission.

## Turning Off Reminders

Toggle the **Daily Reminders** switch to off in Settings. You can re-enable it anytime.

  Many users find that morning reminders help them start the day grounded in Scripture. But there is no wrong time — pick whatever moment you can protect as your time with God.
