# Password Reset

> How to reset your GodFocus password if you have forgotten it.

# Password Reset

Forgot your password? No worries — resetting it takes just a couple of minutes.

## How to Reset Your Password

<Steps>
  <Step title="Go to the sign-in screen">
    Open [app.godfocus.io](https://app.godfocus.io) and go to the sign-in screen.

  <Step title="Tap Forgot Password">
    Tap the **Forgot Password** link below the password field.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Enter your email">
    Type the email address you used to sign up for GodFocus.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Check your inbox">
    You will receive an email with a password reset link. Check your inbox (and spam folder, just in case).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Tap the link and set a new password">
    Tap the link in the email. You will be taken to a page where you can enter a new password. Choose something secure that you will remember.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Sign in">
    After setting your new password, sign in with your email and the new password.
  </Step>

<Note>
  The password reset link expires after a short time for security. If it has expired, go back to the sign-in screen and request a new one.
</Note>

## Tips

* If you signed up with **Google**, you do not have a GodFocus password. Use the **Continue with Google** button to sign in instead.
* If you do not want to manage a password at all, try [magic link login](/user-guide/magic-link) — it lets you sign in with just your email.
* If the reset email does not arrive, check your spam folder or try again after a few minutes.

  You can also use magic link login as a quick alternative if you just need to get back into your account right away.
