Running into an issue? Here are solutions for the most common problems.I cannot log in
Check your email and password
Make sure you are using the exact email address you signed up with. Passwords are case-sensitive.
Try a magic link
If you are unsure of your password, use the Magic Link option on the sign-in screen. Enter your email and check your inbox for a link that signs you in without a password.
Reset your password
Tap Forgot Password on the sign-in screen. You will receive an email with a link to create a new password. See our password reset guide.
Try Google sign-in
If you originally signed up with Google, use the Continue with Google button instead of entering a password.
Some users who signed up before the recent authentication update may need to reset their password. If you cannot log in and your password is not working, use the Forgot Password link to set a new password.
Session expired
If you see a “session expired” message:- Try refreshing the page — Your session may have timed out. Refreshing often restores it.
- Sign in again — If refreshing does not work, sign in again using your preferred method (email, Google, magic link, or wallet).
- Clear browser data — If you keep getting session errors, clear your browser’s cookies and cache for app.godfocus.io and sign in fresh.
The app is not loading
- Clear your browser cache — Go to your browser settings and clear cached data for app.godfocus.io
- Try a different browser — GodFocus works best in Chrome, Edge, Safari, or Firefox
- Check your internet connection — GodFocus requires an active connection to load
- Try a hard refresh — Press Ctrl+Shift+R (Windows) or Cmd+Shift+R (Mac) to force a fresh load
Notifications are not working
Check browser permissions
Go to your browser’s site settings for app.godfocus.io and make sure notifications are set to Allow.
Verify reminders are enabled
Open Settings in GodFocus and confirm that the Daily Reminders toggle is on and a time is set.
Check your device settings
On Android, make sure notifications are enabled for your browser app in your device settings. On desktop, check that your system allows browser notifications.
iOS Safari has limited support for web push notifications. If you are on an iPhone, notifications may not work until the native iOS app is released.
Magic link not arriving
- Check your spam or junk folder — The email may have been filtered
- Wait a few minutes — Email delivery can sometimes be delayed
- Check that you entered the correct email — A typo means the link goes to the wrong address
- Request a new link — Magic links expire after 15 minutes. Go back and request a fresh one.
Password reset email not arriving
- Check your spam or junk folder
- Make sure you are using the email you signed up with — The reset email is only sent to registered accounts
- Wait a few minutes and try again — If it still does not arrive, contact support
Session timer issues
- Screen turning off during a session? The timer requests a screen wake lock to keep your display on. If your screen still dims, check your device’s display timeout settings.
- Timer seems frozen? If you switch to another app or tab, the timer may pause. Return to the GodFocus tab to resume.
- Session did not save? Make sure you are logged in. Anonymous sessions do not save to your account.
