Bible Reading Plans

Reading plans give you a beautiful, structured path through Scripture. Instead of wondering “What should I read today?”, you simply open your plan and pick up where you left off. Each day includes everything you need for a rich time in God’s Word.

What Is a Reading Plan?

A reading plan is a multi-day devotional journey. Each day includes a Scripture passage, a devotional reflection, questions to think about, a journal prompt, and sometimes a prayer guide. Plans range from just a few days to several weeks, and they cover topics like prayer, Bible study, and seasonal themes.

How to Get There

Tap the Plans tab at the bottom of your screen (the book icon). This opens the plan browser where you can see all available plans.

Browsing Plans

1

Open the Plans tab

Tap Plans in the bottom navigation bar to see all available reading plans.
2

Filter by category

At the top of the screen, you will see category tabs: All, Prayer, Bible Study, Topical, and Seasonal. Tap any category to filter the plans.
3

Look at plan details

Each plan card shows you:
  • The plan title and a short description
  • A category badge (like “Bible Study” or “Topical”)
  • How many days the plan takes (for example, “7 days” or “21 days”)
  • Whether it is a Premium plan (requires a Firekeeper or higher supporter tier)

Starting a Plan

1

Find a plan you like

Browse the plans and find one that speaks to you.
2

Tap 'Start Plan'

Tap the Start Plan button on the plan card. GodFocus will save your progress and take you straight to Day 1.
3

You are in!

The plan is now in your active plans. Whenever you come back to the Plans tab, you will see your progress and a Continue button to pick up right where you left off.
You can have multiple plans going at the same time. There is no limit! Maybe you want a short prayer plan for mornings and a longer Bible study plan for evenings.
1

Open your active plan

Go to the Plans tab and tap your active plan. You will see a Continue - Day X button that takes you to your current day.
2

Read through the day's content

Each day is laid out in a scrollable page. Just read from top to bottom at your own pace.
3

Use the navigation arrows

At the bottom of each day, you will see Previous and Next buttons to move between days. You can go back to review earlier days anytime.
4

Check the progress bar

At the top of the day view, a progress bar shows how far along you are in the plan (for example, “Day 3 of 7 — 43%”).

What Each Day Includes

Each day of a plan may include some or all of these sections:
SectionWhat It Is
Scripture ReferenceThe Bible passage for the day (for example, “John 3:16-21”). The full text of the passage is displayed right on the page.
Devotional ContentA short reflection written to help you understand and apply the passage. This appears in a highlighted card.
Reflection QuestionsThoughtful questions to help you dig deeper. Tap any question to expand it and write your thoughts right there on the page. Your notes are saved locally.
Journal PromptA writing prompt to inspire your journal entry. Tap Write in Journal to open the journal with the prompt already loaded.
Prayer GuideA suggested prayer based on the day’s Scripture to help guide your conversation with God.
Start SessionSome days suggest a guided prayer session. Tap Start Session to enter a session with the day’s Scripture already loaded.
You do not have to use every section every day. Some days you might just read the Scripture and devotional. Other days you might spend extra time with the reflection questions. Follow where the Holy Spirit leads you.

Completing a Day

1

Read through the day's content

Take your time with the Scripture, devotional, and any other sections.
2

Answer reflection questions (optional)

Tap each question to expand it and jot down your thoughts. These notes are saved on your device so you can come back to them.
3

Tap 'Mark Complete'

At the bottom of the page, tap the Mark Complete button. This marks the day as done and automatically moves you to the next day.
When you complete a day that has a Scripture reference, GodFocus automatically marks that chapter as read in your Reading Tracker. No need to do it twice!

What Happens When You Finish a Plan

When you complete the final day of a plan, something special happens:
  1. GodFocus shows a celebration message: “Plan complete! You’ve finished [plan name]!”
  2. You earn a Plan Completion badge
  3. If you have a Solana wallet connected, the badge can be minted as an on-chain NFT
  4. The plan card in the browser now shows a green checkmark and a Completed - Read Again button
You can always go back and re-read any plan you have completed.

Progress Tracking

Your progress is tracked in two ways:
  • On the plan card: A progress bar shows your current day and percentage complete (for example, “Day 5 of 14 — 36%”)
  • On the day view: A progress bar at the top shows exactly where you are in the plan
Plans are a wonderful way to stay consistent, especially when you are not sure what to read. Even on busy days, reading one day’s content takes just a few minutes. You are building a habit that will bless you for years.
